Last trackday was 3 weeks ago and MB were there doing tyres. Thinking about it though I haven't used the tyre changing service at a track for years...!
Well, job done All 4 x Pilot Road 4's now firmly attached to the rims, balanced and fitted to the bikes. Didn't take too long really, all four in about 2 hours, and that's with having to pop down the road and pick up a 22mm allen key for the front wheel of the blade. Well chuffed, no warped disks, no damaged rims, all went really well, it's a bit of a learning curve, but easy enough once you have the first couple nailed and in the bag. A MASSIVE thanks to everyone for advice and suggestions along the way, particularly to who ever told me to switch my own personal valves to Bridgeport angled ones, they were a god send to get the airline on
Top banana, well done mate! Those Bridgeport valves are well worth the money, both for fitting and inflating! Out of interest, does your blade need an Allen key for the front axle? Mine's a 22mm socket.
Yup, needed a 22mm Allen which we had to pop down the shop and get one as the biggest I had was 19mm. As you say, the Bridgeports are worth every penny, never used the before and now love em
Was that for the left side of the fork (as you're sat on it the bike)? If you tighten those 2 pinch bolts up before fully tightening the axle nut then the axle won't spin.
