Another what's this bird?

    I know I must be getting old!
    Anyway found this in the LED in the middle of the garden today unwell, just led there blinking and wriggling its tail looking half dead.
    Gave it some water from a surringe and placed it in a large plant pot hidden in the plants. Couple of hours later it flew off.
    But what is it as never seen one before.

    It's a woodpecker :) probably flew into something & got stunned. Lovely bird glad it's ok :)

    Bit of a girl for picking it up in a plastic bag though, I have to say...

    Still, she's a bit of a Martin, picking it up in a plastic bag though...

    Good job she did I diagnosed it fecked and was set to break its neck to help the poor little bugger out.
