I had the opportunity the end of last year to have a set given to me. I was running Dunlop 211 Gp's which had been great and I was dubious doing back to more road orientated tyres

Well after 800 road miles and now a Track day at brands Hatch Indy circuit last week I can say if you are looking for a tyre that will give you good feedback, seem to be wearing well and should last me a fare few miles plus stick like s**t to a blanket on track if are at inters speed they are well worth looking at investing into.

I spend most of my biking time fast road on a weekend and Track days when I can get the time.
I have been running these at 34 front and rear when it's been warm/hot. Maybe 38 on the rear when it's been cooler. And at Brands using tyre warmers set them to 30PSI front and rear and they held up well on the track. They give good feedback as seem to be well planted on the road and track.
They even allowed me to brake very late into Paddock hill after I missed a down change into the braking zone.

I don't like to Just stay with one make of tyre. I've used bridgestones, Dunlops, Michelin & Avon but this is my first Metzeler's. I can say they are one of my favorite tyres I have used on both road and track.

They still have loads of meat on them and should last me for many miles to come

I cannot comment on using them in heavy rain but when it's been damp again they feel great accelerating and braking and never given me concern mid corner (be that fast or slow)

Negatives about these tyres. As yet I have not found any. I would be interested to find out if others have.
positives: Good tyre life, very grippy on track and gives good feedback when riding.

    thanks for reading

    Exactly the same as yours.

My second set of Racetec RR K3 will die in 2 weeks i think after 2000 kms of good works.

But i ll mut a set of M7RR again, less grip but much more kilometers....

Haven't tried these on track yet but they are great on the road,so much grip and confidence inspiring. On couple occasions I've thought I'd run wide on a corner these tyres have let me brake deep and turn in with no dramas.

    On my 2nd set ... Averaging 4.5-5k rear, 6-7k front ... I run 36 front, 38 rear ...

Superb on track, fast road and commuting. They are good in the wet but feel the pilot power 3's are slightly better in this respect.

Stolen a set ;) to go on my triumph next week.... Got 72hrs bike time to kill come Friday..... So will get a proper feel for them.

Looking forward to seeing what they are like. Got high expectations tbh as nothing but great reviews.

Not sure they will tempt me from pr4's but got to try these things :)

What temp did you run on track. I asked on another thread but no feedback yet. Just hoping to find out what others run on track

Awesome grip and very forgiving but what blew me away is the comfort they give! They make my old sportsmarts feel fidgety and harsh! They give loads of confidence especially when cranked over! I absolutely love them and so does the bike! It wasn't love at first impressions tho I changed profile as well a bit too much to get used in one go for my sensitive disposition! Initially they felt numb and slow in comparison (4yrs on Sportsmarts) but of course they aren't they give the perfect amount of feedback without the overkill the Dunlops supplied! If you run over a fifty pence piece with the Dunlops you could tell if it was heads or tails! Now It feels like I've upgraded my suspension or the roads have been resurfaced plus all the grip and confidence! Amazing tyres they really have transformed my Blade :D

Well the worked well with the same pressure hot ;)

And Bonjo as for normal/fast road they have been great. My last set of more road orientated tyres were Dunlop sportsmarts and these are as good if not better. I can't comment on if they will last as long as i've yet to wear them out but after many road and track mile they seem to be lasting well

I run M7RR during the trackday with (hot) 27psi rear, 30psi front. Lowering the pressure under 30 made the difference ')

I have also tested M7RRs during my recent trip to Tuscany. Overall, I made 2,800miles, mostly in scorching hot conditions.
The fedeback, the grip and the longevity are really impressive. The only thing which made me worry was a surprising loss of pressure during one day near lake Como. After the day of riding, I left my girlfriend and the luggage in the hotel to pop-in to a local petrol station... and suddenly the bike felt like it had a puncture in the rear. I've checked the pressure and... it was only 25psi!? I was convinced there was a puncture... but it wasn't! Adjusted the pressure and had no problem for the next week. Weird. Bit worring. Was is the valve? No idea...

I might have been loosing the pressure over the entire day... but only realised something was wrong after dropping the pillion and the luggage.
I lost around 10psi in both tyres. It was also weird that after topping-up, the pressure remained stable for the rest of the trip... ?

What sort of mileage do you get from these tyres?

So far: 1 trackday and 3,000miles ') Plenty of meat on the edges, but 55 profile took a hammering during the recent trip (2up, 70l of luggage, 10 out of 11 days in temperatures over 30C) so the middle of the tyre is already visibly squared... but I'm sure I'll get another 3k from the rear.

Currently at 5k on the rear now ... sides and centre have 1mm before hit the wear indicator. :)
