    Hi

Thought I better say 'hi' now I've joined your forum...I'm an old gipper (Rossi+1) living on the IOM. Packed in road bikes 7 years ago to concentrate on trials...itchy fingers have gotten the better of me, and just bought 06 factory standard blade with 3024 miles on the clock. So sweet, just looking forward to some dry roads and daylight to get to know it a bit better!

Welcome, also from (a smaller Channel Island) Rock !

In the UK do they salt their roads in winter, snow and all that.

The only salt on our roads in winter is the stuff that comes over the sea wall. Don't suppose you salt your roads in winter either do you ?

    Nice bike.

Hi Mattie, how is it riding a blade in CI, do they enforce the sped limit much? We do have gritters out on the main roads during the winter, and like you sea salt all year! But that's one of the downsides of living on an island eh?

Wouldn't swap it for dual carriageways and city life tho...

    ^^
The Blade trundles around here quite well. The new version is very well mannered at slow speeds, really very impressed with it. It will trundle along even in 4th gear, delicate as you like at slow speeds without changing down - very impressed with that.

We have the dreaded radar/laser guns, but to be fair they are not particularly devious about it. But there is no points system, so you loose your license.

Mostly the Blade is for taking off island, France is only over there - been there twice already with the Blade, and only had it two months - nearly 4000 miles on the clock already !

I hope you enjoy your bike. It is nice to be able to ride all year round, and you will soon have it turning in nicely !
