Cheers buddy. This was the last usable one. Once it covered more the exposure shot up to 10 seconds and the damn thing was moving in the shot. There were about a dozen after this that looked great in the viewfinder, but are only fit for the bin.
Finally got my lazy arse around to sorting these from last month. A bit of a bet with a mate of mine who is a great tog, over the pros and cons of 'auto setting'. This can be considered my personal limit for hand held, program mode shooting. The final shot in the sequence was the last one I could manage without resorting to tripod and manual exposure.
Cheers mate. It was a bastard to align them all but I'm going to put them together as a time lapse and seeing as they were all levelled up, I thought 'why not'.
New toy... snuggled up next to old toy (only bloody just though...). Just waiting for Fuji to finish writing the fecking software for it now! Such are the pitfalls of being such a trendsetter, I suppose.
Would that it were dearheart... In the background lurks the 64" printer that provides me the majority of my meagre income. It has just been joined by its baby brother, a mere 44" one.
A quick question for those of you in the know? Any suggestions for a nice compact but not too pricey tripod. I love going out on the blade with me cam but my old tripod broke so would love to get something new? Cheers in advance
How about a Joby Gorilla grip (or similar, there are other brands). These can be stood like a tripod (although they only sit about 8 inches high, they can be forms to wrap around tree branches etc. Around £30-£40 I believe. Another option is a monopod if you just want a stable mount when shooting, again from around £25. They are telescopic so collapse to about 18-20 inches.

Use a gorilla pod (or cheap eBay knock off equivalent) when we go on tour with my compact, which is about as far as my photography skills go.... As said though it's a great piece of kit and we've got some awesome shots with it.... Doesn't take up any room and can fix to to pretty much anything!!
What they said ^ ^ ^ I got given my Gorilla Pod as a promotional item by a supplier and thought mickey mouse gimmick, but it is bloody good. Will take my bridge camera and my camcorder with no worries. No, I wouldn't put my SLR with a 300mm lens on it but, please...
