Took the bike out for a blast today after fitting the yoshi can, an check for leaks after servicing it sunday. It's not running too bad at all without a pcv, it definitely pulls stronger. At the end of the vid, you can hear a Slight hunting at tickover... Although I've ordered a pcv, I really don't know now wether it's going to be worth it. Can anyone confirm if any damage will be done without one? Can any yoshi chaps confirm and do you get the same hunting a tickover without pcv?
I waas getting hunting with a PCV and the yoshi map on the CD try it with the supplied yoshi map and then try the map i emailed you .. Loads better mate !
When the engine hunts ( I.e not constant but varies in rpm at tickover) du to incorrect fuel/ air mixture. Or in my case, looking for my din dins most nights as the missus can't fry an egg.
Sounds Fab that Si i have the same but can't hear it that well as i can't ride without earplugs its all wind and noise and not much else.
Mine "hunts" with and without PCV - i also think it hunts with the stock can but you just cant hear it as clearly. I've never heard of any "damage" caused from a hunting on idle. BTW mate - PM sent!
hd hero 1. I was trying it in 1080p mode 30fps, instead of the usual 720p 60 fps. The 720 60fps is definitely smoother, but the field of view is 170, which is too far away, and you get the fish eye, the 1080p is 127 field of view, so objects seem closer.
Cheers Si was going to get the hero2 @£300 but seeing the quality of that I will get the HeroHD1 and save £150
yeh I have just bought a Hero 1, the increase in resolution etc wasnt worth the extra £150 to me anyway.
You'll find that on sunny days, the quality is far better, as the go pros need light, and plenty of it. The gopro2 is better in this regard, but grainier at night.. but for £100 cheaper..it's a no brainer. Editing is dead simple using imovie, and exports in 1080p. Great cams, and ive bought some extra batteries off ebay for £7 each, not original gopro, but exactly the same and you get the full amount of hours, the same as the oem go pro battery.
Now I don't want to go off topic either here but Si, I love your two finger action at the end of the vid mate. Try that on the missus and she might learn to cook for you. LOL.
Interesting that Si, it's a trade-off I guess. Been considering the HD2 but not sure it's worth the extra. Can sounds great mate, I have the same and not planning to fit a PCV as most reports I've read don't seem to show any improvement as far as the 'hunting' is concerned. JD
Im talking to the other mods about a possible group buy on the new hd2 motorsports with easytrack, iirc they could do them at 255. PS, heres a vid of mine from the other day. FFs, give up, wont let me embed.
I may be interested mate, purely for the upcoming 720p in 127 fov mode. Also, go pro are bringing out a wifi remote for both the hd1 and hd2 in febuary.
