Heading into Germany to do B500 and then back across into France and spending a few days in the Vosges Mountains before visiting Verdun, any recommended routes for the Vosges.
Route de cretes is the high level pass down the centre - its an area you could easily spend a week at Worth the walk to 'The Grand Ballon' here:
You should - for the Kent massive its a day to get there which is not bad, so long weekend just about possible for you
exactly al. Day there and back and couple there.... Lovely. But not toured in few years so start coming up with stupid ideas
Been through the Vosges twice excellent roads just watch out for the cobbled hairpin/switchbacks make your bum nip up ha ha
There is a a lot of history in the area from WW2 - I'm reading the following which describes the area in great detail. I didn't know about this when I visited but now tempted to go and explore the area in greater detail. I'm tempted to head down there - 2 / 3 nights in the area, then head into Germany and pick up the B500 or similar up through Germany, cut back via the Nurbergring (to watch I think as really don't think its great on a bike from seeing the videos on youtube / my own experiences) and home taking a week. https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Books/Na...1-1&keywords=the+nazi+hunters+by+damien+lewis
