Lincs/Yorks. ride to Scarborough/Olivers Mount - Sunday 1st October

    As promised, here are the details for the ride to Olivers Mount, Scarborough on October 1st (weather dependant). It's a big one as it's a 3hr ride from the first meeting point.

    Route:-
    10am - 1st meeting point
    - Entrance to Hall Farm, Collingham Rd, Lincoln LN1 2LJ
    Brief stop off at Blyton Park DN21 3PE
    Take the scenic route to the Humber Bridge via Barton on Humber DN15 9LZ
    11:15-11:30 - 2nd meeting point - Brewers Fayre Pub, Ferriby Road, Hull HU13 0JA
    Stop of at North Humber view point - Cliff Rd, Hessle HU13 0HE
    Oliver's Mount, Scarborough YO11 2YW (be aware of oncoming traffic).
    Ride the 2.1 mile Scarborough Promonade to the North Bay cafes for chips & ice cream by the sea YO12 7TN

    It's not looking good, it's given rain most of the day at my end :(
    Wet roads + lots of leaves :confused:

    Yes, shame it wasn't last Sunday, that was glorious weather, oh well that's uk for ya :(

    Unfortunately that was the problem we discussed before making this thread, I'm working in Liverpool that weekend.
    I only have the last weekend in October or the the last 3 in November free. I'm free all of December though :eek:

    Well seems weather is turning crap, time to put my bike away and do more mountain biking :D hate motorbiking in the rain but strangely I do like muddy mounting biking :eek:

    Getting muddy mountain biking is one of the best things ever :) .......
    Although the older you get, you do have to glance around before you shout Feck yeah.......wheeeeeeeeee :D

    well looks like a warm mid October weekend coming up (18th) seems we booked the wrong day ;) still Mountain bike was fun :D

    Mine's been sorn'd since September 1st, although the track bike could make an appearance any time ;)

    Sorn'd since Sept 1st, so was it going to be track bike for Octobers Scarborough bash then?

    No ços if the road bike has no tax then neither does the track bike ;)

    The plan was to tax the road bike on October 1st then sorn it again some time after.

    Lot a fannying about for the sake of 40 odd quid road tax :rolleyes:

    40? When did you last tax yours. It's £85 now :p
    Although it was more about the fact that it ran out on Aug 31st and I've not been out on the bike since, so there's been no need to tax it.

    Ahh...but they only charge Repsol owners £40 as the bikes so fast it barely skims the tarmac...therefore less money required to go into maintenance :D
