There should be a hole in the carbon bit, or at least there was on the one on my rr7.

It might be a big gamble drilling through the carbon tip to get perfect alignment to the DB killer screw hole. Agree also with BSS; my R77 slip on already has the screw hole too.

^^^ What they said... should have a hole, with a neat rubber bung with the Akrapovic scorpion on it... if you look at some of my pics on my profile page, you can clearly see the rubber bung on the underside covering the hole.
Could be a trick of the light, but it does look like that end cap has been repaired.

Is it a race only can? If so some of them won't necessarily have the hole for a baffle screw, from the ones I’ve had its normally the e-marked one's that come with the hole in them as the baffle makes them road legal.

Although just to contradict myself the akra can on my Blade has the hole but is stamped as 'race only'[IMG]. No idea is someone drilled it themselves though. :D

Rode my RR6 for 3 years with no baffle (Akra) many times being tailed, no issues with noise levels, never pulled over and only an advisory on MOT's. Currently have a louder Yoshi on my 13 plate and the same applies. Kids have far louder open pipes on their hot hatches, Harley's and Nortons are louder and is there even a means to test Db levels at the roadside?

Yeah I never have any issues on the road with mine, it's passing the noise tests on quiet trackdays thats a pain. Only ever had one rectification notice from the police regarding an exhaust and that was on a V-Twin with very antisocial pipes that used to set car alarms off :D.

As a heads up for anyone coming over for the TT, local bobbies have invested in a decibel reader and we’re actively testing bikes at Hilberry last weekend. They’ll be overwhelmed during TT by the shear volume of bikes but thought I’d mention it.
