I've booked my 2017 in for an ecu remap. It would be interesting to hear from anyone that has had theirs done. Where? What the results were like? How much? etc.

This thread will interest me also due to changing my 2011 (soon) from Yoshi to Racefit. There is also a possibility I might slip a Racefit on to my 2018. What location are you booked in to @dgr?

    BSD Performance just outside Peterborough.

I know Jordan Bikes in Leeds have done an SP recently. There is a video on YouTube.

what was the results on this ? does it improve the below 3000 revs throttle response , I found it a bit jumpy even on roundabouts trying to control the throttle .

Technician claims a smoother midrange and 7 bhp increase due to fuel throttle mapping adjustments.

If you use mode 3 on the dash, it might not be quite so jerky. Don't forget that with only 125 miles (10 of them oil-sodden) you might not yet be overly familiar with the throttle action. I still say it is nowhere near as direct and accurate as a cable throttle. Cheers, Keith.

yer so true lol , but my 13 blade was spot on throttle response and was a lot smoother even at low revs .

It's the 'throttle-by-wire'. No feel, no accuracy. It's like wringing out babies nappies. If I could swap to cables I would - serious! The HRC quick action throttle (for pre-2017 models) is magic!

The SP owner posted a Google review. He said there was more power and the throttle response is a lot smoother. He seems pretty happy with the changes

Hope you feel a noticeable difference for nearly 400 big ones! I guess it's also a 'peace of mind' thing too, knowing that the bikes set up as best as possible.

I'm pretty sure it felt smoother in the low to mid range, which is what I wanted. There could be an element of wishful thinking I suppose. Mark was certainly keen to ensure I was happy with what they had done. The difference between baffle in and out was remarkable.

Hey dgr, did you get any other reports/print outs?

It is fine to see the difference between with baffle and without, but what you should (with respect) be more interested in is a performance graph/report of the bike how it was when you took it in, and one of it at completion of dyno - in other words a before and after.

Without that, your thoughts of 'wishful thinking' might be just that, and @Wozza 's throwaway line takes on a heap of realism.

Apologies I wasn't being rude I appreciate people's honesty as it gives a good heads up of what there really like under long term ownership I would be miffed as it would be my dream purchase....

I didn't get any other reports. I was expecting a before and after, to be honest. I wasn't too bothered about the top end power figures though, I was more concerned with trying to smooth out the throttle response at the bottom end and I'm not sure the usual dyno run outputs would show that. Mark did show me the before and after 3D throttle response graphs on the software and they did appear to show an improvement. As I said, I think it does feel better. He also set up one of the power modes as a direct 1:1 throttle response, which should suit those pining after the old days.

If I had to decide whether it was worth it on the basis of a short test ride and the 50 miles home, I would say yes.

Well, that makes it a worthwhile exercise. The one-to-one throttle response is very interesting. I am on record here a few times voicing disappointment (complaint?) about the 'throttle-by-wire' system. For me, there's nothing worse than winding a quarter turn and getting frig all response. Give me a 'quick action' any day! Cheers, dgr.

Can you still create a quick action throttle on these systems? I don’t think I’d like to ever go back to a non QA throttle
