Anyone got one of these or gave experience of them. Just about had enough of my Galaxy S8 and really can't be arsed with paying £800 for a replacement. Seen the reviews etc and they often say about the speaker being poor for watching vids etc, but TBH I tend to use headphone when I watch vids youtube or listen to music. Biggest concern was that some mentioned the screen wasn't too great in briggt sunlight. Before anyone suggests an iPhone I would just lke to point out that I have hated Apple as a company even before it became popular to do so, we're talking 1995!
The Moto G6 could be worth a look, wifey's got one and likes it. She's a destroyer of phones and batteries. £239 on Amazon. https://www.amazon.co.uk/motorola-5...ds=moto+g6&dpPl=1&dpID=419Yy0LsbSL&ref=plSrch
Did consider the g6 but the lack of ac wireless and the glass back put me off. Also despite the 7 Plus being larger it feels more comfortable in my not large hand. Have a 7 Plus coming from Amazon tomorrow so will give it a go for a couple of weeks and see how I get on with it.
I'm monitoring this thread. Bought a Nokia/Microsoft Lumia mobile a couple of years ago for Windows ® compatibility. It's the worst mistake I ever made.
Ah the days of Nokia doing windows phone, the deal that killed Nokia. I used to work at Nokia and left just before they brought on Elop, the ex Microsoft man, and the decision to go with Microsoft to replace Symbian and the promising Maemo. Before long the reference requests started to fly in from ex-colleagues who either had enough or were made redundant. Sad days as I only left to move up here and be with the then girlfriend.
Ironically I do still have the default one on the Nokia, doesn't sound quite right though. My ring tone is normally the intro to this.
I have had nokias till they went touch screen. All 3 I have are in great & full working condition. As phones, their battery life is far superior & reception is far better than modern smart phones. I advise you to be objective about your needs. If iphone fits the bill, then don't torture yourself on principles.
anyone with experience of nikia/ microsoft smart phones: can you sync outlook contact from PC with the phone?
Sorry that I can't help; I only use Gmail. However, one of the MIcrosoft benefits WAS supposed to be that all Microsoft platforms could be synchronised. Not sure if this link might help you: http://syncoutlook.com/outlook-windows-phone-sync.aspx
thanks. It looks possible but you need a hotmail account which is not a big deal. this is progress compared to: my pre-microsoft phone has a pc application; once installed allows you to sync outlook contacts & calender directly with the phone. The app also allows you to directly edit phone contacts, make or receive a call or SMS
