Hi Hitch. It's the original Northern Ireland regd. number on an 8 X 6 that I had made. I don't change to 'personalised' reg on the more 'historic' bikes, solely to keep them totally original.
The ‘straight rule’ ruled supreme in the 80s Nice bikes, I want a 2-Stroke, love the smell of Castrol R. Not so sure on the early v4s, my uncle had one that lunched itself, cant remember which one it was though.
Quite possibly the first of the VF100R (E series). In some circles they were referred to as the 'chocolate camshaft' bike because the cams snapped or twisted. The subsequent 'F' (mine) and 'G' (Rothmans) series were fine. Once again that supports the theory to never buy the first model of anything!
Six, all in my signature. A passion of mine since youth, but marriage and family kept me off them for many years. Divorce helped me back on them - after resurfacing from a massive cleanout. (Do I sound bitter? Too right!!) Now, they're a misguided pension plan. I'll keep them until I'm 94, and then sell one per year until I'm 100, at which time I'll get the centenarian telegram from King William and a government bonus to tide me over until I rise to Honda Heaven.
