It’s all out of control. I caught 2 blokes trying to nick mine last year.... around 11pm..disc lock, chained up, and they still wanted it. Got one of them with my .22 right in the face, so haven’t been back thank fook.... but everywhere in the North West, bikes are getting pinched left, right and centre. The Police know who’s doing it, but don’t seem to be doing anything about it....as for chasing them, the pond life don’t wear helmets so can’t be chased.... needs a change of law, sharpish.

On the upside I have read that the police can now chase them if they are not wearing lids, and indeed the Met have started nudging Peds to take them down. Whether they would nudge a bike with a rider without a lid I don't know.

It may only be a few forces that have the new policy, but it's a start and hopefully the Courts will do more than fine them a few quid or make them pick up litter.

Definitely not here mate, but bikers have started taking things in their own hands of late..... more tooled up than the thieves..... it’s going to get messy.

Derbyshire sorted this bell end out the other night & he wasn't wearing a lid. South Yorks are doing it too.
Shame when they ' gently squeezed him to the kerb' it wasn't next to a cliff edge!

I will come to the UK and play Pied Piper...I'll lead the flotsam to a quiet place...and turn them to red mist...magically.

And by magically, I mean with a .308 to the head from about 500 meters.

As you may know .my k5 gsxr went within 20mins of pulling up. Alarmed and immob.they broke the steering lock and the alarm was going ape. People stood and watched as they pushed it up the road with a scooter

That seems so typical of today's society. Understandable in some cases; one never knows if a gun or knife will be pulled from behind a jacket:(.

Goes to show that none of us are safe from these f***ing sh*ts wherever in the country we are.
Shame for the owner, without being rude the bike is not worth a lot in monetary value but to the owner the sentimental value, memories etc are priceless....and the insurance payout will be cr@p too :(

Not rude at all. Pure fact. There's a score of them on eBay at the minute, most in the 12 - 1700 quid region. Partly why I bought mine, a real cheap runabout but also a nice bike to ride - although akin to a supermarket rocking horse on wobbly wheels.

The downside is that it could be difficult to sell :(, unless I find a generous dealer who'll p/x it on a 2019 something or other.:)

Everything above is right, fooking scummy lowlifes, 2 little s**ts on a ped and wearing hoodies with masks over their faces tried to buzz me coming home from work Tuesday night, saw them parked up on opposite side of road, next thing they are up beside me giving the slow down routine, thing they did not think through is an 180kg bike at 30mph coming into contact with them means they struggle for balance big time, nasty is that road rash stuff.

Was that in London, or has the epidemic spread?

Well done to save yourself from an incident with riders who chose to 'filter' too close!!:D

    North Kent

There have been a number of similar attempts in the last month in the area, none have been successful as far as I have heard
