Supposedly made in recognition of Erion's AMA successes. Bike is standard 929 with special paint/decals and black frame. Anyone had one?

Great lotta help you guys (and gal) are:rolleyes:;).

Here's a guy busting for a bit of help from an early Blade guru and what do get? Zilch.

So, I'm just back from Reading a couple of hours ago with this in the back of a rental van. :D:D

12,000 miler, super clean, but but pending the OCD Nigel Nitro Clean (tomorrow). Already got to work and replaced the stupid red screen with OEM; removed the atrocious mushroom sliders, and a 4-year-old tax disc. Fitted an Optimiser lead and then went for a short test run. Comfortable bike and all good so far:). Both RS50s sold to make way for this.

Not keen at all on the tank pad, but fear a problem with pulling paint as posted by someone earlier in the week.

Anyone who hasn't seen one of these (presumably most of you) they were produced by Honda in a supposed batch of 2000 to celebrate Erion's AMA success. Again supposedly, only 20 made it to UK. This particular one came from Dobles - I am fortunate to have all the docs, manual, tool kit, genuine Workshop Manual, original end can (has Scorpion on now).

Warmth and extreme patience are the key to pulling the pad.

Dental floss is good too, with warmth of course. Don't forget the warmth.

    Bloody lovely that!
As said above heat the tank pad and peel slowly, I've never lifted paint on any of my bikes, even my old (1999)gsxr which was aftermarket paint from new.

So, the two RS have gone - avoids my usual “So where are you going to put that then” question.

Looks to be on an Irish plate - is there a story there?

Hope for a good photo diary of the strip, clean and rebuild. Nice one @nigelrb

Yes, it is Irish plate. I am going to query Dobles and see if they have any archived info on it. I may just end up replating it.

Won't be much of a strip, but I'll probably pull the rear wheel out to do the swing arm and grime from under guard etc.

Will take advice on the slow hair dryer method starting from the bottom.

Do you buy all your bikes from Reading? Didn’t you get the little RS50 there too

    I am well-travelled;).

Coincidentally, yes. Henley-on-Thames. This 929 was Finchampton.

Glad I shied away from going to W. Yorks to look at the R1 50th, but have bought the VF from Speeton, Nth Yorks, the NS from Doncaster, the MV from Glasgow and the RR4 from Flint, in Wales.

My Tom Tom gets a real hiding!!;)

Looks brill, Gary. Congrats. Different end can or polished?

Must be close to my territory - Gloucester Cathedral I think in the backgound. I guess you're blessed to get the bike!

    Wanna sell your tail tidy?:D:D

Yeah, well I'll be doing 30-mile loops while you're changing nappies so let's see who tallies up the most miles over the next few weeks!:p;)
