hi guys ive been looking at a 2016 sp blade but the company wont let me test ride it, are they buzzy bikes??

ive test rode a few gsxrs and s1000rrs and they buzz like hell ,so much i had to take um back after about 20mins or so due to pins and neadles in my hand and feet.

anyone have this problem with the fire blade??

Tell them that for you buy it you require a test ride or for them to add a paragraph to the paperwork that the sale is subject to the bike being free of mechanical vibration. If they won't then walk away, dealers are struggling to sell older blades and with an attitude like that the dealer will struggle even more.

ive just got off the phone to a local honda dealer who have a standard blade 2015 in bsb colours which looks very nice also (ok its not an sp) and i asked for a test ride "yeah no problem" was there reply so much easier just a shame they havent got the sp in my price range.

i spoke the the dealer with the sp again and he just said no test ride full stop.

I have mentioned this previously, but I believe it's in the public interest of bike-buying community to know who this particular 'no test ride' dealer is. Given there are a few prolific purchasers on this site, we would love to know who to beware of. Do you mind sharing?

Yeah no problem it's completely motorbikes in Gloucester who don't do test rides . But thunderroad in Gloucester do they were very helpful.

Ah, interesting. I've often looked at their stock (some of which is well overpriced) and admired their 'fixed price' policy, which to me translates as: take it or leave it. Thunder Road does carry a good reputation. I'm sure you'd be better off there, and, of course, they're an accredited Honda dealer. (Just beyond my 30 mile riding range though:D)

Just looked at the bike. Needs some serious Autosoling of the headers, otherwise looks great!;)

I'd never buy a bike, (or a car), without an extensive test ride, as I dislike far more than I like.

I test rode a new blade SP, and after half an hour knew it was not for me, so went for the 2015 one.

Any blade you test ride should be nothing less than turbine smooth.

I must admit I do like the black and red bsb colours and it's cheaper.

Yes looks good and no c-abs, and no harm in trying to get them to sharm the sticker price a little further.

They probably don't have the coverage on their insurance policy for test rides. No doubt helps keep their costs down. They should consider what most main dealers do though, £10/£20 fee for a test ride, refundable if you purchase.
