I'm feeling it today. had the BIL with me and was a 6 Hour job in a garage so 10 1/2 hours was not bad. just after the Sun went it started to get cold and all the tools had frost on the. took me ages to get warm once I sat down in the house after
Christ and your worried by a little bit of wire locking well done mate, its such a good feeling getting it done without the huge bill all the cuts, bruises and the cold are all worth it
I'm with Jamie. I'd have thought twice about just doing the photography. I gave up the opportunity for a ride out yesterday because the cars needed some serious bucket attention. I was afraid of getting nicked as they both say Blue on the V5's but you wouldn't have believed it to look at them. The snow foam was turning brown as it was running off they were so bad. By the time I'd finished any extremity more than 6" from my core body mass may as well have belonged to someone else it was so bloody cold. When I tried to hose the remaining snow foam off the drive it had actually frozen.
Not worried about wire locking, just basics of bikes. OK not much difference but the tolerances on bikes compared to cars are SO much higher As for Huge bill the fecking Flywheel was £495 trade!! and Clutch £250 so not impressed with it going tits up after 5 1/2 years AND after just 25K
cars now need a good dam clean but I'm shattered now. I need to machine polish, wash, inside and out the car but will not do it today and seems the cold weather is coming this week
That's a good effort I wouldn't of even bothered, for starters I ain't got the right tools or the heart to be in the cold for 10 hours lol That's not great milage fir a fly wheel it's put me off them KIA's now
Nice way to spend your weekend, no really that's my utopia, as long as you don't need the vehicle the next day then its pressure!
Benn the Kia Sorento has the same engine and. Kia was stamped on the Flywheel and Clutch mate. Same engine and parts. the main reason mine went early I think is the drive where I store my caravan and that's its a 27ft twin wheel unless your pulling a heavy load you should be fine. Saying that almost every oil burner has the duel mass flywheel and after a Google it's a bitch for any make of car
car's been off the road a week. used mums car as she does not use it much. just glad to have it back on the road as I do have a soft spot for the car
Respect to ya fella my 4x4 is in the dealers at the mo ..new fly wheel, clutch and drive shaft joint and the bill is £2114 + vat so a day well spent mate
Holy Crap Gray. not fun mate. CLutch and flywheel woudl have set you back about £850 or more than enough. You got issues with the duel mass as well?
Welcome to my word 18 years of doing this shizzle everyday!! Well played on it remal!! O and dual mass flywheels are wank end of i change more DMF thatn clutch well i put a clutch in anyway but you no what mean! And remember folk only press that clutch when you need to no resting foot on it or pressing at lights
