If a rider stays with one team then there is always the question about whether it is the bike or the rider responsible for the success. If a rider does it across multiple manufacturers then it is more likely the rider, but even that can be viewed as swapping bikes at the right team.

Personally the more manufacturers and classes the rider wins in and with the more I am impressed by them.

Ooh so you'll finally be a Lorenzo fan if he becomes the first rider to win on 3 different manufacturers haha ;):D

Does not worry me mm93 is a class act and no doubt rides the wheels off the Honda ....just look at what his teammates have done on it....be interested to see what he would do on the wsbk shed.

With Rossi and Stoner I got the impression that they'd changed to a bike that suited them more than the previous one had, so their next title didn't really come as a surprise.

What made Lawson's switch so impressive was that he ditched the Steady Eddie look and took to drifting the Honda around on opposite lock everywhere. Most folk when they change bikes will work towards making the new bike suit their style, it's more unusual to see them change style so dramatically to suit the bike.

    The sad reality for JL

The current top 10 has 7 factory rider from 5 manufacturers. Both Ducatis are there, as are both Yamahas even though everyone seems accept they are off the pace. There are 3 Hondas and if I am correct this is Nakagami's 2nd season on the bike and in MotoGP.

Another Doomsday post for poor JL.

Some people adapt quick. Others take a while longer.

Tomorrow will see his first top 8 finish.:);)

Ooh you've really got it in for him haven't you!

Hodgy summed it up for me....... "let's not forget Lirenzo is a multiple world champion and a genius......sooner or later it will all click into place"

No bones about saying I don't like Lorenzo as a racer or a person, great rider but not a great racer. I just wanted to show the reality of what he was facing and any other rider would be lookingover their shoulder to see who the team was making overtures to. He's being beaten by team mates, satellite bikes, and less competitive bikes and really needs to up his game.
