Hi all . Just had the bad luck of running my blade into the ground apparently I had half a litre of oil a month after an oil and filter change . My question is are there any good videos and or post that will help me find the issues inside my engine . I am planning to to take the engine apart and replace repair all damaged parts . But I need to know what is damaged and what's still useful.
Thank you for your time and patience.

I have looked up that option not much going in engines atm for my year . And what's out there is about 1.5- 2 k £ . I have a fair knowledge and the help of a grampa biker. I have a Heinz manual and a lot of love for the bike. I will post updates starting next week on my progress for future riders . If that is ok

Hi, and welcome to the forum. I would not expect such a loss of oil and suspect it might have been underfilled - depending on the mileage you've covered. Having suggested that, you sure won't get any joy from a dealer!

That can only be assessed once the motor is apart. Shell bearings might be scored and so could the bores. It really is a matter of wait and see.:(

I understand I have the time and patience to go through it. I hope that members here can help me with determination on the damage once the engine is apart. My motorbike garage I have been using for the past 4 years they are decend and just told me the engine is seized. They will be dropping the bike of next week at some point . And I will start by taking the engine out the bay and slowly move my way in

Hi and welcome! Ambitious plan you have! Best of luck to you, if I can assist in any way, I will be sure to. However, I am mostly here for comedic relief and to watch @nigelrb collect every bike I want to own.

    Hello & welcome!
I'm happy to help as much as I can. Qualified mechanic, albeit with cars, but I've stripped & built plenty of engines so should be able to give you some pointers.

    Good luck!

If you need any help stating the obvious I'm your mechanic, but safly that is the limit of my mechanical ability.

So updates. Got the bike back last night . This morning I out oil in it . And than turnd the engine massive racket from the right side drained the oil and cheked for metal in . Nothing oil was just burnt but no metal bits in there . So I took the right side engine case off . There you have your clutch and 3 sprocket looking things .. the smallest of them the one highest up was not in line with the other 2 and moving .. I tried to put a video but it's too big and I cannot upload a photo either

Write so far I have taken the engine apart in bits ... so I have 2 main bearings gone ( shell bearings ) . And one of the pistons has a bit of build up and Some overheating related marks . as I was looking online the engines go for 1.5k £ roughly and I do not know what the damage is in them ... looking at options on crank regrinding . Anyone know anyone somerset Devon area?
Anyone know what pricing I should be looking forward as all I found is mainly cars .. not that it would be that different..
I am not set on it. I am still looking at options .
But I would prefer to have a rebuild than a crashed engine that needs rebuilding soon anyhow.

Right . Update. Managed to get a replacement cranck with all its bearings. Engine is in the garage for measuring and rebuild. In the mean while I have to find some replacement parts . Hoping that some of you can help . Google is useless... I am looking for the mid bottom castle lock sistem I have all the rods but need the actual part number in order to find it by the looks of it .. any tips of nut or bolt brings me to fairings .. I need 2 castle nuts and I need 1 of the adjustable mid sections from the bottom one. Which I do not know how is called more than that
