Has anyone any experience in selling a frame? Is there any stipulations or would you just send of the v5 like you would when selling a bike? Any advice would be much appreciated Cheers
Raph, I did it a few months ago with one of the RS50s I had. Bought and sold it with V5 and it went through just like a 'normal' bike. The engine number was already on the V5, but purchaser didn't care. I can't say legally whether there would be an issue over not advising there's no engine. To me, it would be more trouble than it's worth, so a 'flexible' purchaser would be ideal. If/when he installs a new engine, he would then merely advise DVLA and say the other blew up etc.
Thanks @nigelrb ill keep that in mind, I have the engine and what’s left of the bike so might just offer it all as a job lot? Cheers.
I would, otherwise you might end up with stuff laying around that you might never use! Perhaps offer it as a 'project' rather than job lot. Sounds more enticing!
Little bit more than that mate,it’s done 45k aswell so not really worth putting any serious money into it. If I get another blade I can put a lot of them upgrades from it onto the new one.
