Really enjoyed Chernobyl - but thats on Sky. Netflix: Peaky Blinders - Brilliant Homeland - very good Breaking Bad - Best thing I've ever seen.
The Borgias with Jeremy Irons was ace. Seen loads since- more recently though; The Blacklist Timeless Strike Back Blindspot And...GOT but the books were best although they are not all written yet!!!
If you’ve an interest in history the series Greatest Events of WWII In Colour is the most striking, well presented and explained series of programs you will ever see....IMHO that is.
Yeah......people kept telling me too watch this but I thought nah, not for me!! How wrong was I?? Brilliant
In a similar boat Paul, May have to take marks suggestion and check it out. Too much to watch now, I won’t have time to ride the bike in the spring, I’ll still be working my way through these suggestions!
Not watching Netflix tonight. Can't get bugger all from it even though internet connection is fine for everything else. Netflix don't acknowledge any issues on their status page though so is anyone else having problems with it?
Working fine here mate. Sometimes mine does give me issues though. Tried the old “turning it off and on again?”
I was having a nightmare with Netflix through Virgin buffering and freezing all the time..... Upgraded to a new V6 box and it's lightening quick now!
Sussed it. I am on Sky for broadband and they have implemented so shitty DNS solution that breaks Netflix unless you use their DNS servers. <Sarcasm Mode> I'm sure it is for the benefit of customers and not so that they can track usage etc.and use it for marketing and selling to advertisers </Sarcasm Mode> Best find a way to get DNS out via https/ssl for the Sky box.
Apprently it is due to a bug in the "Sky Buddy" feature they implemented to keep nasty things away from kids and imbeciles, and it broke the already safe DNS solution I have used for years. Tried to contact them but online chat wasn't accepting new calls, and the phone lines were warning of a 30 minute delay. Doing some digging the latest firmware is supposed to have fixed the issue but as I was fine until the other day and am on the latest firmware I guess they have fooked it up yet again. Solution was to set up a Bind DNS server on the Pi I use for small projects, and set that to forward requests to a secure DNS provider who has servers listening on ports other than 53. Now just searching to see if I can find another provider like OpenDNS or Cloudflare that also support other ports. Oh well one less reason to stay with Sky once the contract is up.
Sex Education season 2 is out now, some seriously funny bits in the first 2 episodes that we have watched so far.
