So during the Christmas break I've been busy getting the new bike room ready the SP to come home, the builders left it basically ready to decorate.... Plastered walls and cieling, screeded floor. Make no mistake this is NOT a garage.... This is another room to the house that is specifically for the housing of the bike!
Past couple of days spent giving everywhere a good couple of coats of emulsion! Next up is to paint the floor
Ground anchor cleared out..... Its been full of rubble and fag dimps for the last 3 months so glad to see it looking fresh and clean!
Think you used the same sparkie as us! Left us with a part cut hole in the ceiling where he tried to fit a light but it was under a joist
Haha.... They first fix the wires, then it's get boarded and plastered and then they apparently work to a grid, cut the holes and the wires should be there, doesn't always work out how they planned though. Had spotlights installed throughout the house and there must be 4 or 5 where they missed the spot..... Holes need filling all over the shop
It is narrower than I actually wanted, but with building regs and boundaries and all that malarky . The garage is approx 6 foot wide which is all the plans woukd allow. I asked the builder not to put the Nibs that come in at the garage door end so I could have wider garage door but again building regs wankers!! It was never intended to fit a car and its a huge space for what I need it for, the bike, work bench and storage for my gear will all be down the right hand side leaving the left free to walk through..... Its very long so there's a load of room. Anyway its better than keeping it in my front room and I bet it's wider than your hall Nigel
