Hi. Has any one got any ideas about the large decals on 2016 model. Dropped the bike and damaged the decals and nothing else. Just been quoted £400 from Honda for 2 decals

Yes it is the SP. Honda are talking the piss with price. I get custom stickers made for work and have never paid over £75 for 5 foot high multi colour letters.

And the crazy thing is that you could get a complete set of Chinese fairings with screen and heat retardant (forgetting about quality issues) for less than £400.00!!

No doubt off a bike being prepped for race/track. If I had a 2016 I’d buy it just for spares/track days etc. Better than a Chinese set and for only double the price with the inclusion of lights and exhaust! Bargain imo.

When to The Image Works today and spoke to a very friendly helpful guy. Unfortunately they couldn't help me due to the effect on the decals. Definitely recommend them.

It was the chequered effect on the the light and the dark blue. They said only Honda will be able make this pattern, that's why they do it.

Never. Ever. Ever. Tell the wife. My old mans had the same bike for 25 years, it just keeps changing colour, shape and more recently over the last 15 years has spawned offspring. Hope you get it sorted soon, and at minimal cost :)

whoops, made a typo that could have gone down very wrong indeed!

Absolutely agree dont tell the wife. It NEVER ends well. Just do it and keep fingers crossed.
My missus never noticed anything about or on my bikes.
A black zx10r once became a silver (titanium) zx10r and she was none the wiser and I'm not going to spoil her little world by explaining everytime I need to do something with my bikes.
She honestly believes a bike tyre lasts for about 20,000 Miles just like car tyres ! If she knew I get about 1600 miles out a rear she would go mental as clearly that would just be waste of money

I shouldn't say this but my ebay advert just closed tonight when I sold a new led headlight for bmw f700gs as I had said I wanted one. So I bought it without her knowledge in August-ish and then she gave me one for xmas ! Bloody hell I had to pretend to fit hers when obviously it was exactly the same as the one I had bought. So I have secretly sold the boxed brand new one via flea bay without her knowing.
The guy who bought it was going to collect tomorrow but the wife's at home so have had to put him off until Thursday .
Moral is....dont tell wife.. but occasionally you might get complications :(
