Nice car - I work at the Skoda garage on Saturday mornings - service washes, helping to get the new cars ready for the showroom, filling the test fleet up with petrol as required ......

Get a bit of extra cash, get out the house away from the internet, physical exercise (desk bound all week) - especially the service washes and those tall cars like the Karoq and the Kodiak.

Anyway last Saturday might be my last for a while :( because of the Wu Flu ....

Anyone been out for a solo ride out in the sticks? My mate says the police can stop and fine you if you don't have a key worker letter.

Can you say it's your one outing as a form of exercise? Maybe pushing it with plod but I'm letting the good weather in my part of the country go to waste.

Checkpoints in North Yorkshire and Teesside today so it’s not worth the risk seen them while at work, it’s a fine of £30 first offence if not paid in 14 days £60 then if your daft enough to get caught again it’s £120 and if you still don’t listen it’s in front of the beak and a possible unlimited fine SO STAY HOME

My mam has been in the NHS for about 20 years now, said it's the quietest shes known it! Calm before the storm and all that I guess but isnt it funny all those people normally clogging up A & E with minor injuries and people who cant apply their own dressings and catheters etc needing home visits all of a sudden dont need A&E or are telling district nurses to stay away!

We are very lucky to have the NHS and we should have been treating them with the respect and appreciation they deserve long before this.

We are allowed out for basic exercise - bike - walk - run - dog - animal husbandry - for 2 hrs per day. All shops shut except supermarkets and a few other bits and pieces.

I am going to frame the executive order that was posted to every household - orders about leaving the house.

These Islands were occupied during WW2 and our Occupation museum has lots of examples of German orders prohibiting the population from doing all kinds of trivial things - like selling surplus garden vegetables on the hedge without permission from the Commandant - and only on certain days - some of these orders are crazy stuff.

What is obvious is that some people really dig the whole authoritarian shit, punishment, cruelty - some people just take to that like ducks to water - they would put on a uniform of brutality in flash.

There have always been people like that and they must be resisted.

I'd like to think that this could be the turning point for the NHS when the dust settles and the government will give them the support the they have so desperately needed for so long. If this doesn't show their worth then nothing will.

My wife has been a Nurse for many years, took early retirement last year due to stress, but has gone back on "the Bank" ie works when is wants or they need, guess she will be called in a lot soon :(
We were power walking round our village at 8pm, when loads of applause came booming from all these doors, "there" I said to my wife, "people do appreciate you after all, now if only the bosses did"
