Dirty scumbags. As if pepe haven't got enough to worry about

Does this only work on keyless entry cars?

Yes. I didn't put it on as an option because I knew it would happen and I couldn't be arsed sticking the keys in a little bag every night.

Nextdoor has got the other one on CCTV trying to get trying to get the door open. Apparently they tried for about 3 minutes at the side of the car.

I've had to park mine in the next street as it's so busy at the minute. Keep expecting to find it sat on bricks with no wheels on

Wankers. What car is it? Need to add it to my list of desirable cars I can't own.

Incased in metal prevents the key fob being read. My brother in law puts his key fob in foil and then in the microwave!

The car manufacturers should have been made to pay for all the insurance claims for stolen cars because of "key relaying". They tried to solve a problem that wasn't there and inadvertently created an even bigger problem. I understand that the problem has been solved on new cars now and the car categorically cannot be started without the key inside the car.

Charlie, do you know since when? My Nissan Qashqai is keyless (I hate it along with its electric handbrake) on an 18 plate.

I'm not sure exactly when things started to change but I believe a lot of keyless fobs now have motion sensing so they deactivate themselves once they've been motionless for a while. JLR vehicles use radio signals that can't be relayed and other manufacturers just give you the option of deactivating the system all together. Not sure about Nissan though mate.

I hate my electric handbrake too...:(

Don't know about you but I was looking forward to being a pensioner so I could make that loud ratchetty sound with it that all old people's cars make when they put it on...

I was sceptical about the electric handbrake but I'm a convert now. On my Golf its fantastic, it does the hill hold faultlessly and it applies itself faultlessly when the ignition is turned off. Love it.
