Mates first time out on his brand new m sport last night.
He's got a MM edition SP (19 plate I think) ....but he says he prefers the beemer already....even though he's only just running it in.
Far more comfortable for him too.
He's my height and feels cramped on the newer sp's like I do.
The beemer feels a bigger bike and you're sat deep in it.... doesn't feel tiny to me like his blade does.

Wouldn't let me have a go so I had to pretend :D

He's scratched the tank bad already lol

Might be selling his sp at some point....it's mint...if anyone's interested.

That jacket he's wearing in the repsol pic has got press stud type buttons on (but nothing drastic about them) and it's one of those that's rubbed it!! Think it says more about the paint than the button tbh

Yes it does look tiny though
That’s why I went for the R1, at 6’4” the blade is way too cramped

Yes that's the problem the guys got with it too. Even with the gilles on.
I noticed straight away that you're sat deep in the beemer and the bars seem less aggressive too. He's had BMW aftermarket rearsets on as well £800
But he says they're better adjustment wise for his height than the sp's gilles.
Tank feels nice and big to grip as well compared to sp.

Don’t take that the wrong way

    I'm 5' 10 but I've about a 34 leg so they can feel cramped

That’s quite tall for a lady, have you tried the new blade ?
I did not like the riding position

No I haven't but from all the reviews and it's spec I doubt it'll find its way into my garage as I need something all round doable like the analog blades. Rather move on to a tasty naked like a tuono at least I'd be able to walk after I've got off it lol

If you want to try a roomy naked do have a go on an MT10 they really are a lot of fun and handle great

Had a go on the BMW last year I am 5ft 7 and you sit in with a larger frontal area it was ok to ride easy to jump on and go quick from the off....dash need a degree to operate plus if it makes it past 1500 miles you've got a good one if not 2 months in workshop as per my friends also carbon wheels cracking ...great bikes but build quality a issue not many round still a wait if you order one.....3year warrenty could swing the deal and 4K cheaper than a new blade or v4s

I suppose a tank pad will cover the scratches.
