Wow, it can only be 15 months since you got her (remember as it was the week of my birthday) - hope it’s just that you’re making room for something else and not hanging your helmet up.

Unfortunately mate yes giving up (although done that once before  ) i've gone for German AMG power and got the car i've wanted for a couple of years - my car mid life crisis has got me. The bike hasn't been used since I advertised it back in Feb which I then quickly took down thinking i'd just keep it forever. But it's just not getting used and I can't have it sat there doing nothing as i've spent a fortune on the car so it's got to go.

Yep my other toy that was very low mileage and has already made way for the new one. I actually miss it as it was such a fun car - had the mountune on it and whilst it wouldn't light up a drag strip just general driving about in it was an absolute blast whilst being dirt cheap to run. I will have another one at some point.

Cracking cars, even better when mapped as you clearly know, on my 2nd Mk8,1st was Revo’d, but this ones going Dreamscience, though it’s got loads of Mountune bits on it. Enjoy the Merc.

Very nice! I did consider not getting the merc and keeping the ST and taking it stage 2 or even stage 3 but I just couldn't get over scratching the itch of the merc. It's fast and completely different and like a faster grown up Impreza of which i've had 2 but it's not as fun as the ST to drive which is why I know I will have another one eventually.

I've had a stack of interest off facebook and it looks like it might be gone tonight at full asking price but will wait and see as I know what facebook buyers are like but then I have other people queuing up.

Already thinking about not hanging up my helmet and getting a cheap 929 to keep my NCD and tide me over for a while until i'm in a position to have something more expensive! Will wait until Winter for cheaper bikes probably unless something too good to pass up comes along. Would love a 954 but will be too much money.

With how many people have said they want it I think I could have got more for it, i'm already selling it for more than I paid for it so these are definitely still in demand!

Pricing is a funny thing, the early Blades upto 95 are going for strong money if they are good, the 92/3 for stupid money even some that are dubious, as are good 954s, whereas good 4 to 7s are not making decent money even when they are very good and gets even worse for the 8s upwards in relation to original purchase price, it’s all down to availability and desirability.

I couldn't believe it this morning, I nearly bought another straight away. On ebay an RR7 in HRC colours which I absolutely love with only 9500 miles and utterly mint was only bid at £4500 and I expected to go up at the last minute and it didnt! Someone got an absolute steal!

    https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-Fireblade-CBR1000RR-/174359349915

So a bike 2 years newer than mine and a better shape in my view with less miles went for only £200 more. It's why I never sell on ebay. If the seller had known about Facebook groups he would have got a lot more for it.

I had to really resist not hitting the bid button as I love the RR7 in HRC colours and at 9.5k miles it was another rare bike.

I can't stand the 08 onwards shape, even the RR15 I had I wasn't mad about the shape compared to the RR7. The early ones are silly money on 92 plates but I have no interest in anything before a 929. Only 3 bikes i'll buy now is a 929 or 954 now to keep my NCD or an RR7 like I missed this morning when the timing is better.
