Cheers Mattie. It feels strange! It never handled too well to start with so I've not lost much :D

Looking at wheel spacers now o_O

I'm in a 'throwing away' kinda mood.
Everything in the workshop is desperately trying to look useful and tidy.
    They are still getting culled...

Place is actually beginning to look good after being a bit of a tip for ages.
I've even washed some of the worktops.

think that looks very nice mate, if you do just the springs it’s normally a bit harder and can be a bit crashy if you know what I mean?

It's a strange feeling mate. The mechanic who did it warned me to be fair! Its harsher over bumps but more bouncy/wallowy in corners o_O The other way around would have been ideal!

My main worry is I don't want it to settle any more which from reading online it could come down another few mm  Hopefully it stays where it is!

Serves me right for being cheap and not getting coilovers :D

    Looks sweet ;)

Never had a car lowered..... I did however DIY lower my 2nd ever car aged 18. A VW golf C done up to look like a GTI. I put two 25 litre containers full of water in the boot and it worked at treat. The front end was always a bit lower so it balanced things out nicely..... Ha the things you do when you're a boy racer

As you’ve read mate, it will settle a bit but to be honest I think that will depend on your shocks and how old they are as to how much?

I replaced the shocks and springs and all the bushes at the same time and I couldn’t tell if it came down any more than when first fitted.

on the bright side mate, at least it’s only springs to put it back, so not to expensive

Haha. A mate of mine used to drive around with about 100kg of builders sand in his boot!

I ummed and arred over which springs to get. It was a minefield when trying to work out which springs gave what drop. The other option I had which was called 25mm I had read loads that given the drop I had from factory these wouldn't have made any difference. In hindsight I would have opted for those as I'm guessing the Info I was reading was wrong.

Live and learn, or not :p

Demolished the shanty building and managed to get one replacement door up, albeit I have to remove it again tomorrow to trim a bit off the bottom. Complete ball ache as nothing was true and the top frame was on a tilt with one end 6mm lower than the other.

Went to a local bike show. For a small local bike show it was not bad. Some decent custom bikes, some excellent condition bikes from the 1980s - Z1000; Z1300, CBX1000; GS750. Two Desmosedicis (yes two !), Good little local show.

    A few pics.

A bunch of old Triumphs - T120 and Bonnevilles ?

    Kawasaki Z1000

Old Ducati logo - and I think it was a 1098 parked in front of it. The stage lighting for the Ducatis was a bit weird so converted to black/white

Honda CB1100R - there was a pair of them, local reg - this one signed by 'Rocket' Ron Haslam himself

Tally-ho red leader :D Battle of Britain air display including the Red Arrows

The other display teams are very good but quite slow moving. When the Red Arrows come on there are planes everywhere - the pace and the standard really hots up.

I think this is a Yak...

Had a horrible squeal every time I applied the handbrake so I went shooting this morning and then decided instead of going out on the bike I would strip the rear brakes apart :(
So glad I did and now no noise at all:D:D:D:D:D:D D29DACEA-0E4F-46D7-9F6B-7380A29FD940.jpeg

Bit of a party for a mate with cancer - will not be with us for who knows how much longer....

His makeshift garage band and GSXR1100 - raced the pants off that thing since it was new. It was resprayed fresh from out of the crate.
