Yep I can't fault it...I love it. I know J&S at Donny usually have them in if you wanted to try one on. I buy mine from Sportsbikeshop.
You're more than welcome to try mine out on your bike if you like although its a medium.

Got to agree with other comments X-lite X- 803 Carbon is a fantastic helmet, it's obviously very light, quiet (with earplugs) superb visibility and looks pretty smart too, my only dislike is the green lining but that's a personal choice.

I have a Carbon X-Lite , best quality helmet I've had. Much better than all the Arai helmets I've owned.

To be honest I wouldn't even have considered one (brand whore) but I got a good deal £135 so would have been rude not to try it and yeah it's been good apart from the leaks and has been in daily use replacing a tired Shoei NXR.

Funny you should mention Arai as I am starting to think they are falling behind.

I always thought Arai were the bees-knees, but looking at my 2016 RX-7V it looks dated - and that is not different to the current model RX-7V

If you look at the ventilation - they have just drilled a couple of holes in the shell and stuck some plastic channeling over them and that is supposed to direct the air into the holes. Really crude.

The brow vent openings are actually in the visor which get in the line of sight when the head is down. The visor mechanism with the outer pods does not sit nice and flush like just about all the other quality helmets. The visor catch is very basic and the little lever does not seem to make any difference to opening or locking the visor.

Mine weighs 1.68 kg (+- 50 g according to the label. That is almost 1/2 kilo more than my AGV K6 - and it really feels heavy when I pick it up.

Most sports bike helmets have a contoured lower edge to prevent collar bone injuries - not the Arai.

I look at it and think - if this was a new company coming to market with this - I don't think they would sell many (did I mention the price).

Their marketing about quality hand made does not really matter for a mass produced product. Their not changing their roundish shape - because it is some kind of optimum for crash survivability - does not stand up to scrutiny.

Instead of seeing a helmet that was for me the A1 best lid money could buy - now I see a design that has been severely left behind in almost every way.

I have nothing against Arai and I hope they do well - but surely I cannot be the only one to look at their designs and materials, compared to the latest generation of lids, and think that Arai are noticeably falling behind the competition.
