    Browsing Amazon it wasn't the Lego that I noticed but I was tempted by Meccano.
    I grew up on Meccano and it is what granted me an instinctive ability to know do up from undo just by touching a nut with my fingers regardless of orientation.

    that one might be easier as it’s 5-12 yrs age group , all moving parts on this thing expect the engine seizing up just after the warranty expires

    I offered the Panigale model to the 4 year old, and she just laughed and said ‘no thanks, I want something I can play with, not something I have to keep fixing’

    Had the 8070 kit which is a sort of sports car... but it also can be rebuilt as retro roadster thing... so due to boredom, that's exactly what I did. Roof and doors power operated via a little gearbox :cool:
