    Hello from Glasgow ( 2010 CBR1000rr )

Owned my blade for roughly 8 months having come from a K6 1000

One thing i want to address is the exhaust. Its just not loud enough for me.

Currently got a Yoshi R77 on with the S bend link pipe

Excuse my lack of knowledge for starters but as i am aware my bike would have originally came with a cat in the end can??? With that being changed then i take it that exhaust flap would be deleted also?

im just trying to understand the set up a little more as its very tame sounding whilst idleing and low revs

im looking at maybe a racefit can as i hear theses are as loud as they come :)

Holy balls, I think that’s my old blade……

Reg starts with an O and ends in a K?

If it’s my one, I had the baffle in so that I could pass noise testing on track, maybe try removing that or checking if it’s still in? Be aware that without the baffle, it won’t pass noise testing. Think it was 118db at Silverstone at 6k RPM.

it’s like seeing a really hot ex girlfriend move on! :(:(

Defo your old bike haha! The first thing i done was remove the baffle but still not loud enough for me. I think its more when at idle and low revs i just dnt get enough out it.

Was it you that fitted this exhaust originially? iv not had a chance to have a proper look under the fairings but does it have stock headers etc?

Ah man - it hurts to see!!:p:D

i didn’t install the exhaust no. Most of the bits on the bike were already installed when I bought it in 2018. I added the braided lines, engine covers swing arm & fork protectors

I think they are the stock headers. The original manual/paperwork for the exhaust should be in the bundle of paperwork (I included it) and it only showed the end can itself on the pictures.

cheers for the info pal. Do you know if the stock headers through to the link pipe would have any restrictions on it like butterfly valves / cats etc?

Not 100% but I think the cats were in the s bend link pipe and the standard can? If there’s not a bulge in the link pipe? I’d say it’s been removed/cut out.

the cable for the flap goes from under the seat to the link pipe, so if not obvious I’m the link pipe I’d assume it’s been deleted?

Your definitely right about the racefit being loud mate, there’s also a short akrapovic witch looks smart and is very loud
