    Hi there,

I've got a 2006 blade and am wanting to fit a brake and clutch lever guards for track days.

Just wondering if anyone has any advice on which are best for this model. Also, if the correct procedure is to remove the handlebar inner weights to do this or if that's a safety issue?

My advice would be to get a cheap brake lever gaurd and only fit it for trackdays and revert to stock inner weight and bar end for road use.

I found without the stock weights you get quite a bad vibration which sends your hand numb. I tried quite a few things even making up my own inner weight to go with the lever gaurd. Nothing was as good at killing the vibes as the stock setup.

Don't bother with a clutch guard, really not necessary.

    Thanks for the advice.
If you only use a brake guard on track days, did you find any problems with only having weights in one side of your handlebars? Does having lack of balance or no weights, increase the chance of headshake or is the electronic damper good enough?
