    The techniques are complete opposite ends of the scale!! Shame you can't see the lean angle of each bike in the image too!

    @PauloHRC assuming the ghost image in the red circle is the back of MM’s right boot on his foot peg (based on the design of the rear of his left boot in the green circle) both bikes are at the same or very similar lean angles. As you say totally different styles, but considering the years between the images IMHO Doohans commitment is greater as tyre technology has come a long way in 3 decades.
