Hello, currently have my two year old 600RR and have always wanted its older brother. Here to browse and check out the 1000RR scene as i will probably upgrade once i qualify. Thanks Ahmed my current:
Depends whats around at the time i guess but want to keep the 600rr so wont be getting rid of it, but most probably would go new. Unless a great second hand buy comes up. but its a while yet till i qualify
Aah sorry, im currently a medical student. so have 3.5 years left to qualify as a doctor (not like rossi though i'm afraid to say). So get studies out the way and become a bit more experienced rider, hopefully by then I may be ready to get a 1Litre bike.
You would be surprised how usable and easy to ride the blade is compared with the 600 But you are wise to keep such a nice bike and enjoy it until stepping up to the next level, I did the same cbr400, then R6 before the R1 it must work I am still here, and good luck with your studies, concentrate as I may need you one day
I initially thought the same, but i got a good deal on it as it was the only one left and it has grown on me since. (wasnt a popular colour due to the correlation with kawasaki. The dealer i brought it from said this colour was only available for a couple of months in 2009 before they were told no more would be made in this colour.) Yeah i started on 125 scooter to commute with. then went to SV650, now this. Plus i havent tracked the bike so i am nowhere near getting the best out of the bike and seeing what its really got to offer.
Yeah I remember checking out the new colours at the end of 2008 coz I had a 2007 in red when they first came out . Lucky really as I got it brand new in September coz I couldn't get insurance on a 2007 blade an then the 2008 blade came out so I would have been gutted if I did have an 07 blade then Actually probably not as every body thought the blade was hanging when it was unveiled lol
Too many ! and it scares me to watch them struggle with the bike, they can be brutal and unforgiving in unexperienced hands (like mine) I take your point and agree whole heartedly, time in the saddle is needed before you move on to the next step, however, the 600 is hardly slow ffs lol
Agreed mate... but the savageness of getting to silly speeds quickly on a 1000 would have got me in trouble when i was a bit younger and reckless, and the instant power of a bigger bike in tricky conditions wont catch you out on the 600's... Also there is nothing like getting off my old r6 knowing id giving it a hammering... doesnt happen too often on the blade! to be honest, on certain roads we ride, i still think id nail them quicker on the old bike, that front end was awesome. (im in trouble now)
lol - id have the blade over it all day long... but at certain times, there was nothing like it. do miss it, but if i had it now, would i ride it - prob not that often.
