Just after a bit of info from you all.

This forum will always remain free to use. But, if there was an option to subscribe and receive additional benefits would you? I'm thinking: completely advert free. 50mb gallery space and PM limit of 1000. £2 month automatically through PayPal. Is that too much?

Again. Just an idea and completely voluntary.

    Ps poll is anonymous.

    Cheers.

    Rob.

I would rather it be a annual payment? if this was even brought in as a option, Could be a VIP payment? similar to what you posted about the benefits

How about something like £15 a year and new members get a free T-shirt or something??

I like the thought of advert free more than anything

The ads on here arn't exactly ove powering though like most forums. Infact you barely even notice them. Its not like there is an advert after every other post.

I would say big sigs are more of a pain in the ass than ads.

Not been a member of this forum for very long, but feel I’ve been accepted and made some friends, even meet some of you for a brew. What I like is the banter, ok, not always bike related, but during the crap winter, why not have a chat with friends.
Voluntary subscription is fine, but let’s not discriminate from those who don't want to, on another forum I’m in the guy's that donate, get a highlighted name, and the old sweats get a fancy tag.
I for one would be happy to help keep this forum going, I know subs are not cheap.

Think £24 per annum is too much Rob. I don't pay a subscripton on most of the Forums I go on, that's a lot. But I don't mind making a donation to help with costs?

IMO it's like any good cause really. If you feel strong about something you put your money in it and support it. A few of us have already placed donations towards something we believe in. This was nothing other than just to add to the fund for keeping this site running, I personally feel when on here i belong to a great community where good information can be obtained for well, nothing if that's how people want it.
That said. Just because People donate I would hate people who do not feel they are being alienated??
I'm happy to keep donating or as said previously make it a once yearly thing.

I'm well up for donating a couple of times a year. Subscription I'm not so sure about. Little perks for donating are always welcome. As above this is a fantastic forum with great guys n girls and I'm only too happy to donate.

I'm happy to subscribe. To this forum. It's the first I've belonged to that I've felt I've got enough back from to be happy to though. Ducatisti came close but there still wasn't the feeling of 'family' there is here. I also believe that there should be no visible discrimination between donators and non donators. I've paid dues to clubs out of necessity in the past that I've got bugger all from except being able to hold a competition licence.

Monthly payment doesn't appeal to me though, I'd already, kind of decided to donate annually off my own back and would prefer to keep it on an ad hoc basis.

I'm with ken - first forum I've joined and really like the site and the banter! And already met some great chaps off here...

I'd subscribe, but don't want it to be discriminate, or more importantly off putting for new members who keep it interesting.

£15 / 20 quid for an annual sub? But I want some stickers for that ; )

I'm up for subscribing if it helps keep the forum going / improving. The amount of friendship and advice available here would have been pretty hard to come by before t'interweb came along. I reckon somewhere between £15 - 20 a year with a forum sticker, mug (if they get produced ;)) or t- shirt on initial subscription would be a big temptation.
