Howdy all. Returning to biking after a few years off messing about with cars. Bored of them now. Been saving the pennies for a year or so and I'm ready to spunk £4500 on a mint RR-4.

I've seen one close to me, 9k miles, 2 owners, FSH, mint dry bike. Just went to see it today and it's spotless, only some dust on it :p Trouble is I can't negotiate the shop to any less than £4900 for it. I've been looking at adverts and the market for many months and I kinda figured £4.5k should really get me a mint low mileage job. Is £4900 too much for a mint one of these? What d'ya reck?

Ta in advance, looks like a nice place ere. I'm well excited, got some new Furygan leathers last weekend, fit like a glove, seem like real quality. Can't wait to get back on the road, just need the Blade :)

Thanks all for the warm welcomes :) I'm kinda guessing £4900 isn't incredibly overpriced then for what it is as nobody's shouted "Oi no!" kinda thing. I think it's a little overpriced but it is a mint dry bike with low miles. I'm not after a bargain, I'd rather have a dry bike with low miles/low owners/history etc. Yes I'm fussy. Hmmm what to do...

Cool, for sure, when I eventually get the beast. I live about 2 miles down the road from there, in Elham
Yeah thanks I saw that. Forgive me for saying this but I'm not overly keen on the Repsol colours [legs it]
Thanks mate, it's gotta be an RR-4 though, I just prefer the looks.
Oh nooooes now you've put ideas in my head to save another 2k and get a 2008 blade, they look sweet. Damn you! :s

Hehe, and yeah will gladly add photos when I get it, but thanks to slowr1der, I dunno what to do now :p I would like it soon, and I earn a pittance so a 2008 would prob mean end of the summer at best. Jeeeesus!

This is the one I'm currently deciding on the price tag. It's mint. I'm not into red as a rule but it does seem to go well with all the black that's going on too. And as it's got black wheels I figured I could change the look of it when I get the urge with a fairing kit from the likes of Auctmarts. I heard they're pretty good these days, and at £320ish for an entire kit/new look for the bike it sounds pretty awesome.

Thanks again for the welcomes... Ahh good, some more opinions, and thinking along the same lines as me that 4900 really is alot for an rr-4 even if its mint. Gonna have to think some more, especially as now if I'm thinking of spending 5k, instead of the original 4.5k, another 1k puts me in the market for an 08 job. Ugh, just went you thought you've made your mind up.... glad I came ere haha  But then when do I stop...get to £6k, then another 1k then another 1k then... [dead]

Welcome mate, only got £4500 p/x for my 6500 mile RR-4 against a new '08 Blade so £4900 for a 7-8 year old bike is pushing it a bit, they were only £8000ish new.
