Paint the walls ?Hold on a minute i though this was Pimp my Garage ? Get some insulation in and screw some good ply to the wall and then paint you can hide your wires and also screw your racks and goodies to the ply (Game Over) .On the floor pack up and cover in ply and then a cheap carpet its all about being warm and cosy .ps you may get some internal water droplets off the roof when its frosty being a non insulated single skin of tin.
Remal, Do you mean you have removed some of the flooring and its lower than the walls so water can get in? You can use a latex screed from the likes of wickes and patch. Its expensive and doesnt go along way. the best job is 100mm of screed top (with added fibres) this can be bought and delivered to you drive and barrowed in and float leveled.
No the level of my floor in the garage at the top left is at the same level as the outside. So can get damp due to not being higher than the garden. Was thinking if I let the area dry and sealed the floor if I could put the self levelling flooring paint or what ever on the floor
Thats what I thought you meant. Its not really the paint thats a self levelling filler to increase the hight of the floor, although it generally is (self levelling) you can only apply it 2mm thick. You would need something like a latex self leveller but price it up its really expensive per meter. All you would have to do is place some expanding foam under the wall and empty it down. I imagine that you will always suffer with a bit of damp, if the floor isnt layed on a damp proof membrain
UPDATE: garage roof finished. great it's just started to rain in work but the wife says it looks great. Have bought via Machine mart my workbench, Shelves, and a few bits Picking up 75kg of arditex na Self leveling compound for the garage floor tomorrow. Anyone looking at self leveling compound this looks the mutts. Asked my Cousin who contact his supplier about the stuff. looks just what I need for the garage ARDITEX NA from ARDEX UK £31.20 for 25kg. about £10 -15 more than the stuff in B&Q but seems that it will be much better and more suited to my needs Going to clean out the garage tonight, pressure spray the floor to remove crap. the above compound does not need sealing so hoping tomorrow to be able to lay the stuff down. then paint with blue garage floor paint
Update, I HAVE ELECTRICS IN MY GARAGE No lights. fitted a new consumer unit tonight. hooked up the socket for the lights and area for sockets when I need power. was amazed when it worked first time. I was expecting a bang, pop or boom at some point Tomorrow. fix lights. put flooring down.
I wont even bother to ask how the CU is fed, bonding, rcd protection etc etc fook that, if it works it works. Lol
CU has a armored wire from the house which I just removed the wires and replaced to the new CU. Simples Spent 9AM till 6PM fitting lights, laying flooring and painting today A few pics of how far I am now. the flooring went down great. not amazingling smooth but this is the first time I've done anything like this so i'm happy One of my 2 new LED spots. the other is going by the workstation You can see how bad the floor is before i Started
Thoughts from the pics? Any good? Plan for tomorrow. Hope floor is dry. 2 coats of Ronseal Garage floor paint. while the wife continues to paint the walls. we are 60% the way to painting all the walls white. take the kids out for a few hours. then get home and build the work station and drawers
Just thinking total time I have spent doing the garage in the past 7 days. cleaning, removing , updating and painting after work. mind you I have been in work 6-5 for the past 6 days. and works out about 3 hours a night for the past 6 days and 10 hours today. I can understand why the wife's a bit uneasy even thought it was half her suggestion

Cheers Bats, I would love to have all the Snap on workstation (if they did them) I really would but this has cost me much more than I thought it was going to at first. approx 40 hours now spent in total in the past 10 days on the garage
It looks top mate and you will reap the benefits its so much nicer to have a clean tidy easy to keep clean gaff and its not all about the snap on as long as you got all you need!! O and Snap on do a work station 2400 notes to you haha Get this in me garage thread!!
Matt whilst not wanting to come over as rude! Why dont you put a 4x2 batten between the roof joist and hang the new lights from that as currently it looks like you are lighting up the roof and not the work area.
