Yup ,Just for fun who is your favourite rider .I had a think on this and its really a tough call .Mcguiness is the king and a nice dude but so is Bruce .I really like the attitude of Gary Johnston never a moan whilst i am also a massive fan of Michael who does let himself down by being totality gutted if he is not no 1. so i will hang my hat and say Michael Dunlop for me (Whats yours) ?its a hard one this.
Bruce Anstey for me. Can't really put my finger on why exactly. Seems like a quiet-natured bloke who's an absolute missile once he's finished having his couple of quiet laps (which he constantly seems to beat himself up about)
We all have our favourite riders...... but for me i ve nothing but admiration for all the privateers who ride their backsides off with nothing to gain other than pleasure in proving themselves on what has to be the toughest road race in the world.
To be honest, I'd find it hard to choose any given one, they are all amazing in what they do, big respect to all them, they've got bollocks
I would struggle to pick. I enjoy watching them all. Even the Aussies. The one who scares me most is Michael Dunlop. His ability is peerless and his skill unbounded but he gives off a very dangerous vibe. He's probably be the only one I wouldn't invite to my triple rollover euromillions win party.
The guys that risk just as much and get no tv coverage! They're all up there though, every one of them! For riding alone, i love the smoothness of JMC, and after watching him at Armoy in the flesh, the fearlesness, and aggresion, yet smoothness of M Dunlop.
I got to ask would that be due to his skill or cracking personality? I only ask as like Ken has said he comes across as a " I will do anything to win" no matter what. I don't personally like the guy. Each to their own I would vote for Martin or Mcguniness
I quite like the fact that Michael loves it and wants it soooo badly that even if he wanted to, he can't control his upset and not getting what he set out to achieve at the end. True desire and no proffesional bullshit answers to the press. He's so upset he's not won and it comes out!
1. McG. 2. Hutchy 3. Guy Martin - although I don't find his eccentricities particularly amusing any more 4. Gazza Johnson =5. Everyone else, just because they ride the TT Anyone see the interview with the 72/64 year old husband & wife sidecar crew? Legendary.
John Mc Pint for me, that's why I got the replica lid smooth, down to earth and so damn quick, like the fact he is just your man off the street, liked guy but he gets on my tits a bit now ! Then Bruce then William Dunlop
