    Hey Guys

Im really sorry for my absence again . I think my body knows whats coming and cant be arsed any more .

All the regulars know my situation but for the newbies iv missed over the last few months , Im awaiting Spinal surgery to correct a condition that im in alot of pain from , so much so that the medication im on makes it difficult to concentrate on a computer screen .

The good news is that the full spinal correction is this Tuesday . Iv been down a remote part of the Gower Peninsula in wales in a caravan for some quality time with my 6yr old son before the surgery and had no internet connection .

So im going to be around till sunday and then ill update you guys when i can . If i cant get online i will text Ken and Matt to update you guys for me .

Iv always had huge support from 1000RR.CO.UK and the regular guys and gals on here have been and are awesome ! Ken , Matt , Rob , Jamie , Si , Jimbo , Colin , Arthur , Vin , Claire , Gary , Ben ,Alun , the 1 and only Blaggers , JD , Carl , Dave, Damo , JM1 , Mel , Rich and Rich , Gaz , Fez , i could go on and on but any body that has been on here for any length of time soon notices the huge warm welcomes given to new members and the support every body gives each other in any area of life is rare thing to find in life let alone on a forum ! lol .

So big up 1000RR and its members , You are awesome ,I apologise again for m
y absence and i promise i will be back in force , Modding like crazy again as soon as possible

    Cheers

    Dan

    Take it easy dude.

I'd say we've all got your back, but apart from it being a crap pun, until next week nobody'd really want it.

Quick question mate .... 50mm F1.4 compared to a 50mm f1.8 , Is the difference worth the jump in price ?

The problem with the f1.4 is when you're shooting at f1.4 the corners of the image drops off in both focus and distortion. The depth of field of focus for the lens is reduced by a factor that's out of proportion to the extra stop you gain. It's a great bit of glass but it's one advantage over the 1.8 is also its achilles heel. I can't remember whether your camera is a full sized chip or not, but, funnily enough, the smaller chips can get more out of this kind of lens as it's image circle is smaller so it only uses the central part of the glass. I'd be tempted to save my money frankly.

    Cheers pal ,

Yeah same Hospital and same ward again but a different surgeon . How long I'm in depends on how i heal . After the op im gonna be in intensive care for 2 days . I gotta have a drain pipe in my side to release blood and prevent bruising , ( sick !! ) I have to be on my back whilst that is in but its only for 2 days . As soon as the drain is removed i can go down to the normal ward and ill start of flat on my back with the remote for the bed tilt in my control . I gotta ease my self up slowly and when im sat up right i can start learning to walk again lol . as soon as im mobile i can go home and recover there .

They reckon 5 to 8 days which is amazing compared to the 6 months on my back i was faced with when they offered me surgery when i was 16 .

Gonna look like this when im done

Plus im going to be 1 to 2 inches taller ...Weheeeeeeyyy ha ha

No plans to sell the bike mate, wires have been crossed somewhere. ( I did comment on a how much is it worth thread, and said i'd be wanting x amount without my dymags)

I was a bit gutted a few weeks back when I punctured my rear tyre after around 80 miles and had to get it replaced!

I'm just glad we've finally got some weather to use the bike in, it's a shame your going to miss out this year but i'm sure next year will be a whole lot better for you!
