Yes very true but why not lose some body weight and also reduce the weight of your bike too?
It has unthreaded points that were for rear pegs. These could be drilled out for more weight saving ;-)

Honda state that its a 1kg saving. I have not fitted it yet so cannot compare weights of old and new.
