Have noticed a few of you opting for a -1 tooth front sprocket, will this effect the accuracy of the speedometer ?
Think it does.. At lower speed it's probably not that far out.. I got 37 on my tom tom app vs 40 speedo..
Asked this question myself and yes is the answer. The speedo will under read (more than with the standard set up). My chain is on the way out so deciding a sprocket change too. I'm siding on +2 on the rear only but might need a slightly longer chain. Been told -1 on the front stresses the chain more and ultimately wears out both sprocket and chain quicker, fine I guess if you don't do too many miles. I want a little more go but do a tonne of miles per year so +2 on the rear I think makes more sense.
