    Please use this thread for any questions on using the forum . Hints and tips etc


    To start

    Just a heads up on posting a youtube video that stays in the post window , not turning into a link to youtube

    I was going mad trying to suss it out when i first joind the forum and i don't know why i didn't ask sooner .


    all you gotta do is copy the address from the youtube page

    click the embed video icon at the top of the post text box

    [​IMG]

    Then paste the address into the box that appears and click OK

    then click post and it will be viewable

    Seeing as your a bit of a wiz on this, how the feck do u change your avatar pic. Been trying for weeks but jeez I'm stooooppeeeeddd on this kinda thing.

    Its in Settings mate

    Settings > edit avatar > ( option 2 ) Upload from your computer .

    Make sure you press save at the bottom of the page

    Another one for dan........................Why are the photos i have posted from photobucket so small?? everyone else seems to post full size pics

    When you post from Photobucket you can post different sizes. If you have your page on photobucket you just need to have your main page like below up:

    [​IMG]

    then hover over the pic you want and the bottom link is the best to use and gives a nice large (but not too big) pic on the forum. What I do anywho

    How do you post from photobucket BR?

    would be ideal. others can view it and ask question and hopefully anyone new can read and find out what they need on this thread with regards to pics and video.

    If I can add my twopennithworth on this one. If, when you select a size for posting your images, you choose one that is in the region of 800 x 600 pixels it makes them a lot easier to view on portable devices and stops you having to scroll to see the whole picture. It also makes them almost half the file size of a 1024 x 798 so it speeds up browsing.

    I normally use about 500x600 max. big enough for laptop desk top but not too big

    Where do you resize your images in photo bucket for the iPad guys?
