Hello All , I'm having a problem with my bazzaz zfi tc and was wondering if anyone could help .The problem is that when I plug it into my laptop it shows 18000rpm with the engine running and as such it can't be mapped as it only ever shows max rpm.
I have thoroughly checked all the connections and they are all good and checked continuity from all to the bazzaz unit .The TPS shows a good range of movement 3% to 96% .
The bazzaz help line have not been overly helpful other than to confirm connections as the unit has been transferred from a 2008 to a 2010 abs model .
    Any ideas would be appreciated

Hello again ,looks like I'm not the only one stumped by this .I was wondering if anyone local with Bazzaz would be willing to try my Bazzaz unit on their bike to see if it shows the same high RPM when plugged in, at least that way I will know if it's my bike or the unit .I live in Liverpool but could travel as I would prefer not to post it and loose the use of the bike .Thanks Keith

thanks for your reply but it was on the dyno at OTC when I first new of the problem. Peter never had a cbr1000 one to try and after an hour we were still unsure .I just wanted to be 100% sure before buying a replacement

I'm still stuck with this if anybody can help ,I had hoped to find someone local to try this on their bike but no luck .I'm happy to post and naturally pay the return postage if anyone feels they could help .This is only a 5 min job just plug it in ,plug in your laptop and see if the RPM is correct on the laptop with the engine running .I have my doubts about my bike as it has previously been damaged and repaired ,thanks Keith
