    Hi All,

Well after 5 years without a bike I thought it was time to get back behind the bars. Last bike was an Aprilia RSV Mille and before that I commuted 80 miles a day on a Blade RRW. (First blade was in 94 on the Urban Tiger, I miss that bike....)

So have just purchased a mint 08 Blade and collect tomorrow. Slightly nervous but can't wait.

Looking forward to picking up my skills again and joining the lads on weekend blasts... but don't tell the wife ;)

    Cheers
    Mike

    Update to born again...

So I picked the bike up today which was around 80 miles from my house. I had a mix of roads, M'way, Dual carriageway and A roads and then B roads to my village.

The bike was faultless through all of them. The motorway was a breeze, great protection from the double bubble screen. The A roads were awesome. As I am still very rusty I took it easy (ish) and the bike responded well. I don't think I've ever gone so quick whilst taking it easy!!! The B roads are very bumpy my way but the blade soaked it all up without concern.

The bike has a scorpion end can, which sounds awesome and had my neighbours out to inspect my new baby. awww

The three bikes I had considered were the R1, ZX10 and the RR8. I think I've made the right decision.

Finally, thanks for all your warm welcomes.

    Mike
