Brakes front shakes

    Scooby thanks for the advice, I tried this and yes, there is some movement with some clicking noise when I (or better say, my darling wife) gently rock it just o much so that the for does not suspend. Not sure though if it is the head bearings or even the wheel bearings.


    I guess I will phone the guy someone kindly recommended a few weeks ago, from what I can remember he was somewhere towards Southend- if I can find the details, as that post seems to have vanished (or perhaps I am simply blind :))

    Failing that- can someone please recommend a reliable grease monkey somewhere between Romford and Basildon, who might be able to help me?

    you will get a little movement from the discs,but not much,if you apply the front brake and gently rock the bike forward you will see this and also get a slight noise.then try rocking a bit more aggressively,if the movement is worse then it will point towards your head stock bearings,you mght be able to see some movement on the bottom yoke.check that your head stock nut is tight.
