Well I've just fitted a set of the above to Jeanette's bike, and following on from this mornings Sportsmarts discussion I thought I'd better nip out and put a bit of scrub on them before I hand them over. First impressions are quite good. The grip is more than adequate. In fact I couldn't get the rear to light up at all. Like my Corsa III's they're triple compound so I was concerned they'd come up to temperature unevenly, so I didn't push them too hard at first. I couldn't try too hard though as I'm considerably taller than her and didn't want to mess with her settings just to get my favoured riding position. The grip was showing up an issue with the rear brake so I might have to tighten the cable. So that's the bike fully serviced now. I might take it into the mother in law's as she's got a treadmill and I'd like to dyno it just to make sure everything is spot on.
the problem is never as bad on a twin Ken as you have the short pulses of "non power" in between the power strokes.
Hmmm, interesting Steve. As during my brief test ride I did notice an alarming pulse increase and what felt suspiciously like a stroke.
Dont know about a stroke but the last time I rode one of those it felt like i was having a heart attack. took me days to get my breath back.
