The Motul is good stuff, but you'll need more then 1l for a full replacement ;) Once you've been on here a bit longer you will probably be tempted to go down the Evans Waterless Coolant path ;)

Yer I brought the 1L as already had over half a bottle left from my gixer so thought that be enough, as it takes about 3liters I think? do I still add water with it then?

No water, just pour it straight in. Mine is an 07 and it says 3 point something litres but it just about 3 IIRC.

Great thanks, like I say I have a bottle left from my old gixer but it's so old I can't remember how I used it and I think il just get another 2 bottles tomorrow to be on safe side as my old bottle is a darker green

I think it's ment to be done at 24k or higher il have look in my manual, I've just had all my fairings off to fit a quickshifter and give her it's 16k service so I decided it won't hurt doing now, also I had a head crack on my old gixer so I want to keep on top of the cooling system, I get nervous when the temp starts rising lol

The green Honda coolant is VERY good anti corrosion wise, however measuring its efficiency is another matter, I have seen Honda's that have not had coolant changes in ten years and it still looks clean, Ducati look like an old escort in two! Id stick to the recommended changes, coolant wise find a quality VW coolant as they are often high spec anti corrosion coolants. I prefer quality coolants over the run of the mill stuff, other wise try Evans waterless coolant, one of the only liquids that will last the life of the engine, that said I change it after 5 or more years, I've used Evans for years only negative is the cost and the prep.
