Hi everyone,I have just joined and come across a thread FI error code 23 by Everton 11 back in 2012. JM1 ismentioned in the thread by Fez as knowing the answer, I ask because I have exactly the same problem after installing eliminators, PCV, Autotune, and I have tried everything even reverting back to standard and still get 23. I have a Healtech OBD that tells me it's o2 sensor low voltage and I can clear it on the computer, the thing I have noticed is that when I clear it the exhaust sensor under the seat resets at the same time. Do you think there is a link there? My next path is a Servo Buddy that I have just ordered so any insite would be most welcome, great site by the way. Regards Geoff
After reading the above mentioned thread by 'Everton 11' you mention as well as a seperate link to another related thread contained within it sounds likes your ECU is goosed and needs replaced! Yes there is a correlation between the lambda sensor and the exhaust servo, if the ECU detects there is a fault in the Fi system it reverts to a sorta limp mode or get me home mode which sets the exhaust valve into a central position which allows the bike to safely run without causing any damage. When you erase the fault code you effectively take bike bike out of limp mode and the servo motor reverts back to a working position as it would during initial key startup sequence. Make sense???
Hi ShinySideUp, thanks for reply. Up to date the bike runs perfectly no limp mode, goes like a rocket just a flashing light on the dash that really pisses me off
