Finally got a Fireblade

    Hello all I've just turned 60 and finally got my dream bike - it's a 2012 Repsol Fireblade which had just 216 miles on the clock. It replaces an E reg'd. CBR1000F, which I can now fettle back to life during the winter months.
    I've found the forum topics pretty interesting so far and have received advice including huggers for ABS models.
    I'll post more when the weather turns and I can get out and enjoy the bike

    Hopefully I'll take some photos this weekend during a planned ride (weather permitting) down the A49 to the Raven Café.
    I've just noticed other members on the forum have included photos of their toys attached to their announcements

    Welcome to the Repsols club :)

    One question tho - I thought Repsol editions were produced on year ending with an odd number (2005, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013 etc.)?

    Yes well noticed madmac apparently the bike was a 2011 version, but not registered until 2012, which I was aware of when I bought the bike from the dealer - I've also noticed one or two other 2011 bikes registered on a 2012 plate
