The oil in my rr8 forks feels quite thick and sludgy especially when cold. the bike has 18+k on the clock and all the honda service stamps up to and including 16k so not shure but think its still original. How hard is it to service the forks and change the oil Or is it a cheap job to get done for you and could you recomend anyone in the north west / north wales area thanks.
Defo get them done.. It's doable on your own if your capable.. I have some one in the northwest who does mine.. Just did my my zx10 and they are minters now.. 15 miles off the m6 at Preston. I can give you the contact info.. He's a road racer so you'll enjoy your time there if you go
I posted a guide in the maintenance section that is stickied which shows all involved in stripping forks. Fork oil is not on honda's normal service schedule but the oil in the forks should be changed about every 7500miles.
I have videos of Dave Moss servicing both BPF forks and USD forks from an 07RR if they are of any use to anyone i can email them a link to my dropbox account. If you have a stand then i'd say defo give it a go.
