I had a new DID chain and sprocket kit fitted to my 04RR about 10k again and although it still looks all good it's going to need replacing soon, so that'll be a job for the winter. When my mech replaced the chain and rear sprocket he didn't replace the front one as he said it looked like new so left the OEM on there.

I've heard that the OEM front sprocket has a rubber washer bonded to it to stop vibration and noise and as far as I'm aware aftermarket front sprockets don't. Does it make much noticeable difference when replacing with an aftermarket that doesn't have this washer bonded to it? I can't be doing with any noisy vibrations whilst riding, so if it does I'll buy an OEM front one to fit. If it doesn't the ill fit the spare front aftermarket sprocket that I have left over.

    Many thanks.

OEM sprocket has rubber bonded to the sprocket as silencing ramp which fits perfectly. After market sprockets tend to have end float when torqued up. Stick with the original Bandit

Thanks for the reply. I thought it best to stick with OEM.
